[Note: The meeting began with an update from Jeff on how well various individuals at Southern Oregon University were accepting the seven core values program and its possible spread to another university. Then Daniel reported on how well his material on his web site was being received by the number of downloads of his written materials per week. Jeff said that he has been told all his life that “nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come.” Daniel offered that academia is one of the validating significators in our society.]
Daniel: Can we get started? Machiventa has an agenda that will far exceed our time today. I request that whenever you have a question or a comment to make that you begin by stating your name. That will help me and Roxie as two of you have voices of the same timbre.
1. The arc of work of the Correcting Time
MACHIVENTA: Good morning, this is Machiventa Melchizedek, your Planetary Manager and today your Teacher as well. We give thanks for your presence here today as you are our audience and you provide the interplay with us providing dialog, questions and answers and relevance to your personal lives and to that of your families, communities, your societies and to your world’s civilization. You have only two people in this group who have as much longevity as Roxanne and This One, as This One began with the Teaching Mission in 1989 to the present time, and through that time, he has seen, as we have observed and we know so well that there has been an arc of activity. We have provided you with detailed information about the Teaching Mission, its origins and its arc of the work of the Correcting Time that Christ Michael and Nebadonia have initiated and have activated through their hierarchies. As This One has been a member of the Teaching Mission since 1989, he has observed this arc only in the later years as he has reflected upon this.
2. The new era of social evolution on Urantia
Essentially, we came to you to announce our presence, that there was a new era beginning and that it was to help right the errors of the social evolution of your planet, of your civilization. It has continued to develop and evolve through the Teaching Mission to help you as individuals mature your own spiritual evolution through learning the ethical and moral substance of your spiritual career. This has enabled those who have learned those lessons to then become the members and decision-makers of social enterprises and organizations to help evolve their organizations through the process of social evolution to become much more mature and to make meaningful contributions to the civilizational evolution of your planet.
3. Making command decisions on behalf of Christ Michael
We have spoken to you about implementation; we have given you many ideas about implementation. We have also given you the mandate that implementation will not occur without your co-creative participation. Many of you have sat on the sidelines waiting for the implementation to occur, but the reality, my friends, is that implementation will not occur without your co-creative participation and particularly with your commands. You must make decisions concerning implementation, and you must be able to command on behalf of Christ Michael—not “in” his behalf, but “on” his behalf. Let us read to you a statement which we assisted This One to write regarding that: We have said in the past that he uses reading spiritual materials to create a portal for him to receive our communication. His current portal has been the book entitled, “High Mysticism” by Emma Curtis Hopkins, and this is from chapter 4, pages 65-91. The title of this statement is: “Meek and Commanding, looking always to God.”
“It is by the authority of Christ Michael that I am able to make this command, just as the General-in-Chief would command by the authority of the King of Kings.”
“I am able to make this command because of the authority that Christ Michael has invested in me. And I do this to please Christ Michael. Done this way, there is no selfish motive in this command while maintaining my meekness and always looking up to Christ Michael, the source of this privilege to command.”

MACHIVENTA: These statements should embolden you to learn how to make commands using the resources of Christ Michael and Nebadonia, which means that all the spiritual resources on this planet are available to you to use for the accomplishment of co-creative projects. For some of you, this will be most daunting; it will be quite a leap for you to put on the cloak of Christ Michael and to command those spiritual beings around you to fulfill this command. As your teacher today, this is what I must teach you how to make these commands that are co-creatively agreeable to us. Any command that you make upon the spiritual resources of Christ Michael and Nebadonia must be fully in agreement with the seven values of social sustainability, those same values which the Creator, Christ Michael through the Life Carriers, has invested in your DNA. These values are significant to you for your spiritual upliftment, for your family and your social and organizational development and for your spiritual survival. These were not happenstance values that were given to you as an accident of creation or through the accident of evolution and the changing of your DNA and chromosomes; these were intentional to your whole being and to your spiritual upliftment and your spiritual evolution. These too are the same values you will use to qualify your commands to the spiritual resources of Christ Michael and Nebadonia.
4. Protections for commands in violation of authority given
There is a protection for you and for us, that for those individuals who wittingly or unwittingly make a command that is in violation of these seven values, or the welfare of another individual or yourself, their command will be absented/cancelled simply because the rule of the universe to hold that will-decisions of mortals as sacrosanct and sovereign does not apply to co-creative enterprises. You must learn how to command aright in order to have us help you progress through this tumultuous time that is ahead. You surely will have many occasions where you will rely upon these instructions to help you in your own personal life and through the social development of your community and your society.
5. Your co-responsibility with the celestials
We have held out this last lesson simply because it requires you as individuals to be socially and spiritually mature and responsible. It requires of you to be self-disciplined to take your power to command as seriously as you can, that you are co-responsible with us for the accomplishment of the healing and the transformation of your world. This lesson in many ways brings to a culmination all our preparation for the phase of implementation. Now, if you review the arc of the beginning of the Teaching Mission and the training of individuals for the Magisterial Mission and the infusion of these values and lifestyles into your organizations, you will realize that this lesson and the lesson that we have given you on co-creative participation for implementation and now decision-making, provides you with a conclusion, a way of approaching your world with us to make the transformation of your world a reality, rather than a figment of imagination or wistful thinking.
6. Formulating commands
We have given you the tools to do this; now you must practice that and test how you do. It is important that you formulate your will-command in your mind, perhaps even write it down, test it against the seven values and then when you have made your command rightly, then you state it out loud. This One consistently states the conditions of the will command, asks us if this is sufficient, if it is too broad or too narrow, and we reply to him. For you who do not hear in your mind, you will intuitively know whether this is a “go or no go.” And if it is a “go,” then you with the authority that is invested in you by Christ Michael to make this command, state in your command, “I command you with the authority of Christ Michael and me to make these demands upon you to fulfill".
You then become co-responsible with us for the fulfillment of these commands. You do this to please Christ Michael, for in doing this you become co-creators with Christ Michael in the transformation of your world. As we have said, this is no small project and requires no small part of your responsibility, your self-discipline and your willingness and willfulness to accomplish this good for us, with us and for your civilization, and particularly all future generations of Urantia.
7. Experimental design team
MACHIVENTA: Some of you may recall in 2007-2008 that This One conducted an experimental design team process as a means of validating whether untrained individuals could make meaningful contributions to a social project or problem or issue to find solutions that would be agreeable and useful to themselves individually and to society. As you recall, Sondjah was the team leader at that time and he was in conference with these individuals very similarly as we are now, but in person-to-person. The conduct and process of the team at that time was a give-and-take conversation around the circle of questions and answers and responses by individuals to Sondjah, and Sondjah back to the individuals. In other words, where there were 7 or 8 or 9 individuals present, there was also Sondjah as a distinct individual responding to questions and providing answers, and allowing time between one person talking and another person asking questions and Sondjah’s response for individuals to think and formulate new questions relevant to the topic at hand. This is very much as you would do person-to-person if you had a committee meeting, meeting around a round table, talking about a particular issue or subject where you had a team leader or facilitator to assist the process of your team to come to a conclusion and answers concerning their problem. This is what we wish for the future. We know that it is very difficult to do this as there are so few Transmitters/Receivers who have the capacity to fluently conduct a team meeting, as we have explained, yet this is the situation that we need to have in the future where individuals in communities come together to discuss with a celestial being through a Transmitter/Receiver.
8. Compromises made with this team
We have made many compromises and have not raised those compromises to you concerning the conduct of this team, as your members are from places in Canada, to the north and to the west and to individuals in the Midwest of this United States, and to those here in Colorado and the West Coast. The compromise is that you [this team] are not in the presence of the other members to receive their thinking and their words first hand, and see the expressions of their faces and the energetic insights and intuitions collectively to assist you to make conclusions on further insights on your own. Yes, you could use a virtual reality process technologically that would assist in having each individual visually present on a large TV screen with a facilitator or with a Transmitter/Receiver and a facilitator conducting the meeting, where each of you sees the other individuals and their reactions. This would be one step better than what we are doing now, and it is something that will become a reality in months and years to come.
9. Co-creativity + commands + Correcting Time
For those of you who have heard these words accurately, then you are anticipating that there will be a development of events which will bring all of these elements of co-creativity and command and the Correcting Time together; that there will be something in which you as individuals will have something substantive to make commands about for the spiritual resources of this planet to assist you, and to assist us, to fulfill and accomplish and move us forward. You can be assured that as our programs of instruction and education and training and discussion and dialog have progressed with you, so too will the Correcting Time progress from dialog into action and co-creative participation with you.
10. Knowing if your command has been effective
How you would understand that you know that your command has been effective is that you will see developments either immediately around you, or collaterally through the Internet, or through discussion and listening to others in your community, or through some other means that you have contact with the larger elements of society. If you are socially isolated then you will have great difficulty to understand how your piece of the puzzle fits in the larger puzzle; then it is your responsibility to maintain your social and spiritual evolution as we have instructed you, and by having discussions with those people who do visit you, to become aware of your thoughts, your work and what has interested you over the years. It is important that the isolation of the Teaching Mission, Magisterial Mission and so on, not become isolated in the world as just another esoteric harebrained idea. It is important that some people become aware that there is someone in charge on this planet, that there is a plan that is being unfolded as we speak this moment.
11. An example of a co-creative situation requiring a command
Let me give you an example of a co-creative situation that requires commands: Let us say that you have a particular interest that has held your attention for many years and you have shared this with many people, but without success. [You would like] to travel to another country and initiate your program so that you can help the lives of those individuals, their families and their communities. And let us say that you have traveled there many times, but nothing has seemed to connect, and so you may be frustrated, you may have the question in your mind, is this supported by spirit? Is this something that would be useful for Christ Michael’s Correcting Time and bring assistance to families and children of future generations while assisting those in the present? This would be a perfect situation in which to develop a command.
You have a situation in which you want to enter regarding your particular work. It is not so nebulous and fuzzy in your thinking that it would not become an effective command, or the outcome of the command would not be forthcoming or useful. You want to have a situation that is specific enough where you need assistance to co-creatively bring about a positive outcome. So in preparation for returning to that community, you would make a co-creative command for co-creative outcomes that is in keeping with the seven values, and that would assist you to be successful in your personal mission of social upliftment and social evolution to this area.
12. Using guidance in formation of a command
Perhaps it would be helpful to write this out and think about it. Ask for guidance in writing about it. Just because you are the mortal and there are those who you will make a command upon does not mean that they cannot assist you in writing that command. This is a co-creative participation through and through with total transparency. It is the work of celestials, myself and everyone to assist you to grow in your social and spiritual evolution, and we are here to help you do that. Writing your command is important to us, as it is to you that it becomes effective. Let me give you an example of this command: These are the words that This One uses so often, “Teachers, angels and midwayers and Melchizedeks, would you be willing to assist in the command formation for this work that I wish to do in this foreign country? It is my wish that those individuals I come in contact with in that area, in that community, would receive me well, that they would hear my words and be willing to participate in this endeavor. And in this command, I ask you to prepare me to do that as well. Would you be willing to receive the command to fulfill this?” The words would be “Yes or No,” or the celestials would state something that needs to be an assist in your command. And then at the end you would say, “I command you to fulfill this to the best of your ability for the highest and greatest good for all concerned, by the authority of Christ Michael invested in me to make this command, and so it is. Amen and thank you God.”
Now that is the command. Let us look through this in this situation more closely. If you are trying to reform a society, then you are thinking too big immediately! If you are thinking about a community, you are still thinking a bit too large. What we wish to do is to think of families and those who are parents and those who will become parents; even those children who are sub-teens and teens, and those who will eventually have children. And so, in order to change or make a community socially sustainable, susceptible and receptive to social sustainability, then you and we must begin with the family. And of course this may involve a Clinic for Sustainable Families that you would want to establish in that community.
There is another part of the command that you could make with this in mind, and if you are going to another foreign country, let’s say anywhere in Latin America, who would best be of assistance to you to do that? First, you would want to get the consensus of leaders in that community to see if this program would be of interest, as it is non-religious, non-political and does not have an interest for self-return, or for some special interest, then it could be a wonderful complement to any social program that already exists. It is our interest to use all social agencies and religions and churches that may be willing to accept this program in order to develop families who would teach and enculturate children to become socially responsible, capable and enculturated with the values of social sustainability and understand how to live with that. This would be a precedent for developing socially sustainable communities, anywhere in the world. You see, socially sustainable communities are impossible to establish if those who would populate those communities are not already open to the responsibilities, duties and disciplines that are required to maintain those values and a socially sustainable community. It is as simple as that.
You, as an individual, an emissary of us to travel to your local community or to a foreign community, will be far more successful if you have a receptive audience and that you are not there as a foreigner with a foreign agenda for those people. They know what is best for them, and when you share the values that underwrite the clinics for social sustainability, they will realize that the values of the clinic have everything to do with their welfare and see it as a benefactor of their good, and particularly for their future generations.
You may get, “Well, why should we do this? Everything seems to be working just fine.” The answer to this is that they do not see that they have a problem; they do not see the discomfort and dysfunction of their society and existing families. For those of you who have that opinion “Why do this?” we ask you to research the family history of those individuals who are drug lords, those who are drug runners, those who are the mules who carry the drugs to other places, and those who use the drugs to maintain a “high” or numbness in their lives. In what families were they raised? What were the conditions of their socialization and enculturation? Did they come from good families? Were they taught good values? Were they socialized to become complements to their community and to their spouse and to their children? No, 95-100% of these individuals came from dysfunctional, disorganized and detrimental environments that raise children who do [not] know better than to use drugs or to sell drugs to maintain a living. This applies to drugs as it does to all crimes and all forms of social disobedience, social abuse and criminality that work against the welfare and good of your larger society.
13. Using the family for positive enculturation and socialization clinics
Now, it is here at this point we tie in the family as the source of positive enculturation and socialization that can be taught in the Clinics for Sustainable Families as a means of examining the moral behavior of individuals and the moral condition of your societies, and a means by which families with sincere intent for the existence of their family and for begetting children can be co-creative and responsible partners in the transformation of their societies into societies that are healthy, and where more and more families raise children to become the positive decision-makers, leaders, innovative and ingenious supporters of organizations, and those individuals who would sit on the boards and are trustees that govern and guide the conduct of organizations. It is the individual of your species that holds the values; organizations do not have a DNA structure and do not have the values that are inherent in their organization and their structure. These values must be carried by children who grow up to be the decision-makers and contributors and organizers and founders and supporters of organizations to maintain your societies. Without this, your societies will crumble, collapse and disappear, and this is where the state of your world is right now, and that is why our implementation plans must begin co-creatively with you, and with the courage and the assurance and the confidence in yourself to know that you are making appropriate commands upon the spiritual resources that Christ Michael has provided you with his authority.
[Daniel: I’m going to take another recess, more for you than for me. If you need to collaborate as you would in a team meeting around a round table like he explained with Sondjah, then do so and I’ll be back in about 5-7 minutes. Okay?
Craig: I’m kind of off on a slightly different topic myself, so I’m not going to try asking the first question. I just found a person who made a web site called The Urantia Book Community of Readers (LINK) thinking there is a place here to unify the Urantia movement to one organization.
Roxie: Good luck on that! Some of us have been trying that for many years.
MMc: Can I just grab the last minutes of what we just heard from Machiventa? Okay, basically from my point of view, what I heard was that we can organize the powers of the celestials by understanding our situation—our social situation—that what is needed in that situation and asking the celestials to provide us with the wherewithal to get people to listen to us. Is that what you heard?
Jeff: I believe I agree with you with what you just stated. Both Liz and I have several times, basically asked for help with meetings that we have had moving our agenda forward and we have both experienced—I don’t want to say a “tingling” but really close to that—a feeling that we were being helped and aided by numerous celestial in meetings that we have conducted. I didn’t command anybody to do anything, I just asked for help. I don’t know that I understand yet the difference between commanding help and asking for help.
Liz: I think that we are taking it to the next level. I think he’s asking us to be so specific in our desires, instead of asking for help, that we want to be very specific in our intentions. Instead of just saying, “Father, help me do your Will today,” or “Father, I just want to be….” I think he’s saying, “Be specific and you have all these resources at your hand,” instead of the generic discussion or the generic prayer or the generic cry for help, put some time and intention into this and we will marshal all of our celestial resources to you. This is powerful stuff! It’s really amazing.
Roxie: I agree and I have noticed that they do help us in a lot of situations, but they can do so much more for us if we really work co-creatively with them by being more specific.
MMc: Rather than taking the position that you are going to be the spearhead in leading, that you are going to and as that spearhead, you are asking that the celestial powers to be with you, and be behind you, and be in front of you to get the way clear so that your good thoughts can come to the individuals that you are meeting with. Rather than just saying, “Will you help me, please,” I command you to do x, y and z for me because this is what I need.
Liz: They talk a lot about intention; nothing gets done without the intention, and I think what they are asking us to do is to be very specific in defining our intention, and then we are at a point where we can command spiritual resources to help us fulfill our intention, if it is in concert with Christ Michael’s plan. In defining our intention, that’s when we can examine it—if we write it down we can examine it, we can see if it does conform with the seven core values, and if we truly believe that it is narrow enough… much as I’m talking, I’m really rendered kind of speechless by all of this.
MMc: Basically he has handed you a whole lot of power in making this command. Rather than, “help me, please,” you are in a position of “Guys, you gotta do this for me.”
Roxie: I don’t quite agree with that attitude, Michael.
MMc: So yes, the intention is there. You have to get your intentions together in order to do this correctly.
Craig: The whole word, “command” sounds like being kind of presumptuous on the Divine Order if you are giving commands to celestials, so is that really what it means to command your audience?
Roxie: Sounds like Daniel’s back now.
Daniel: I’m back after changing to another headset. Let me reconnect with Machiventa.]
MACHIVENTA: If you have questions concerning this, you are most welcome to ask.
14. How does this authority to command compare with the military?
Jeff: I’m kind of snickering because the questions could take a week. So, I will ask the first question—it is not the first question I sent to Roxie about the Arctic Ice. I was commissioned in the United States Army after I had gone through ROTC (The Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps), and the commission with the authority to take action in the Name of the President of the United States—that’s where the authority came from to give me a commission. In return for that, I pledged that I would honorably discharge the duties and I had a responsibility that was mapped out by the general rules of the behavior of people that held the commission of authority. How similar is this commission that you are giving us to command celestial resources to that of a military commission?
MACHIVENTA: Almost identical. The exception here is that we spiritual forces will assist you in formulating your command so it makes sense for you and makes sense for us and is effective. This is always a learning situation for you; it is a situation for us to teach you and train you in how to become much more effective “commanders,” to use your capacity and authority to command aright with the values of your species of seven values and something that helps fulfill Christ Michael’s Correcting Time.
Jeff: Thank you.
15. Putting great emphasis on intention
Liz: As I’m trying to absorb your amazing lesson today, it seems as if you are asking us to put a great emphasis on our intention, that to write down our intention to look at it, to make sure that it conforms to the Correcting Time, to the plan of Christ Michael, to the seven core values, to modify it, to tinker with it until it is exactly what we expect with maybe the suspected or expected outcome before we engage in this. So, am I right in assuming that this process is all about refining our intentions?
16. Coordinating the end results
MACHIVENTA: Intentions are the parameters for the reasons why you are doing this. Why are you making this command? And the overarching intention is to assist the transformation of your world to one that becomes socially sustainable. In your command, you are making the command for something to be done, that you are asking the spiritual forces of your planet to provide the effective coordination that will help bring about the result that you make the command for. And you must be specific—not specific like “I want 6 doz. eggs delivered to my door tomorrow morning,” –but that you have something in mind for this command; you want to have some result done. It is much like a lieutenant who would command the platoon sergeant to command one of the squad members to wash his jeep. What is the end result? The jeep is clean. And so an example I gave for you about the emissary going to a foreign country, there are some very specific things that they would want [you] to command to help coordinate their work and accomplish the end results.
Liz: Thank you for that answer. (Machiventa: You are welcome.)
17. Our difficulty with the word “command”
The word “command” is a difficult one for—I know Craig mentioned it and also it seems presumptuous for us to “command” celestial help. Is there another way that we can look at that word, or is there… I’m just having difficulty with that word “command.” When I think of the alternative it would be to “ask” for assistance.
MACHIVENTA: I chuckle because this is a cultural issue that the sources of your quandary/difficulty that emanates from your religious training. You, as a deeply devout individual, you do not have the sense of superiority or self-entitlement; you do not have that capacity to usurp another’s willingness or their participation in your life. On the other hand, you must realize that celestial beings do not command, they do not will things; they are receptive to guidance, they are receptive to outlines and to missions and to accomplishment of work. It is upon the shoulders of Christ Michael and “his delegated sons” to make commands upon the spiritual resources for the accomplishment of what needs to be done to bring Nebadon into the Days of Light and Life. You will need to get used to this particular word and to know how to use it effectively and not be shy to take it on. Asking the spiritual realm to do something, you will almost always hear the word “yes” when it is in agreement with the seven values. Then what do you do? [Pause] Then what do you do? Yes, you ask the angels and Melchizedeks and midwayers “would you be willing to assist me to meet with the local President of the Rotary, and that I would be well received and we would perhaps have a positive outcome?” And they would gladly say, “Yes, we will!” And then what? This is the great difficulty that we have found with many religionists, those individuals who have been raised in religious families or environments that they know how to ask, but they do not know how to command.
If you have a lazy child, and you say, “Deborah, it is time to wash the kitchen floor. I’ve showed you how to do it, it’s Saturday morning. Would you be willing to do this?” And Deborah says, who is now 13 years old, she says, “Yes, Mom, I’d be glad to.” And then she goes to watch TV for the rest of the morning. What’s missing? Missing is, “Deborah, I want you to do it now. I have asked you and I want you to do it.” When you see this in your own family situation and a child reacts that way, you would call them a smart-aleck, or maybe even sassing you and failing to follow your instruction, whereas children are three steps ahead of you already; they know that asking is different than commanding. Deborah would say, “I didn’t do anything wrong, Mom. You asked me if I would be willing to do it, but you didn’t tell me to do it [now].”
18. A part of our spiritual ascendency is to know how to command
This is exactly the situation, dear children of Urantia, that you are in right now. It is a very important part of your spiritual ascendency to know how to command aright, and what is required to do so. You are being trained to become the Administrators and Executives of the Universe, in your own way that will be delegated to you to fulfill. Yes, there will be people, individuals from the Corps of Finality who will not become their own executives of a Local Universe. Yes, you will have many Finaliters who will work with you in the functioning of your new Local Universe. How will you receive the training? How will you come to consciousness, awareness that what you are commanding is right? And to have the confidence to know that it is right, that this is something that God wants you to do, and that doing it pleases God? You are far different than Created beings; you are far different than myself; you are far different than the angels and the midwayers. You have the responsibility, the capacity and must have the discipline to make will decisions to command. If you do not make will decisions to command and then make the command, then nothing will be done and your world will not be healed. It will take millions of years and dozens of new civilizations on your world to come into the Days of Light and Life. We are trying to teach you now to begin NOW, this day, to command rightly and to please Christ Michael.
[Daniel: (With emotion.) This goes to the heart of me.]
MACHIVENTA: So, dear child, we wish you to take on the acceptance of your responsibility to use the word “command” and to use it rightly.
19. The authority to command
Jeff: So, may I conclude from your latest remarks that what you are authorizing, what you are telling us today, that we are being given the authority to command, that [the] authority only extends to commands that are fully compliant with the seven core values and the mission of the Magisterial Mission? Is that correct?
MACHIVENTA: No it is not. You can leave out the part about the Magisterial Mission.
Jeff: Is it correct to say we are being authorized to present commands, and they will be obeyed only if they further the Magisterial Mission, the Correcting Time and adhere to the seven core values?
MACHIVENTA: Yes, that is correct. You are invested with the authority. It is not your authority; it is much like a message in an envoy’s packet that they carry with them. This individual has the authority to do this and this and this. It’s like a note in your pocket that you are invested with this authority to make commands and demands upon the spiritual resources of the universe that involve co-creative functions that the spiritual resources can participate in. Do you understand?
Jeff: Yes, I do and I appreciate the fine-tuning of this; it makes a lot more sense to me.
20. Those with errant personalities or have selfish proclivities are not empowered
MACHIVENTA: Yes, it is a matter of discerning. It is important that we protect [others from] those individuals who have errant personalities, or who have selfish proclivities [so] that they not be empowered to express them to the detriment of Christ Michael’s Correcting Time and the transformation of your world.
