Desire is that function of the will responsible for the impulse that makes all will creatures take the initiatives to accomplish what they want. However, many times human desires are so much fixated that they lose sight of their dimensions and context, becoming plain obsessions of the ego. Obsessions often dominate the mind, becoming a misguided drive for mistaken actions, rushing things to achieve what you desperately but unwisely want. Rushing is sometimes necessary to not lose opportunities. But, all too often, rushing is indeed a foolish thing. I do have a lesson for you today. It is: ‘Rush not, my child!’

Sometimes you cannot change situations — all you can do is deal with them. These situations challenge us to be creative and, as the saying goes, ‘make the best of every situation.’ In doing so, you not only need to adapt your own will to the circumstances but also interact with the wills of others who are already in the process of realization. God, due to His omnipotence, is capable of doing the absolute best in every circumstance, yet always respecting the free will of his creatures. However, lower creatures such as humans, just starting their perfecting career, can only strive for the best and live with it. What does it mean to make the best of each situation?

Let us take this opportunity to turn our attention to the desirability of a dynamic faith, and the emptiness of a stagnant faith. Unfortunately, most evolutionary religious systems produce only stagnant faith; and so, their adepts are far away from living a satisfying spiritual life.

A stagnant faith is characterized by its immobility – it does not progress. The beliefs held by the religionist are rather crystallized in time. When faith crystallizes, it becomes dogmatic, a belief ultimately locked in with suspension or suppression of reasoning, for a dogma does not allow questioning. All forms of religious systems are prone to this stagnation of faith for it reflects a need for security (no change) by the believer.

What divides human beings are their differences. What unites them are their commonalities. The different religions on Urantia will remain in conflict with each other while you focus on their differences, rather than on their commonalities. What you have in common with others will make you focus on what is basic, essential or primordial. The differences are construed upon what is secondary, derivative and superfluous. The interchange of knowledge and spiritual aspects from the different religions should bring mutual improvement to every religion, acknowledging and incorporating the advanced features of each.

You have not been available to me or to other Teachers for a long time. Your question also originated in other minds — many minds, in truth — it is most relevant any time, but particularly now: “Is Urantia in for a new Great World War?” While there is no more definite answer than the one given to your Progress Group Leader by Samuel of Panoptia (“Only the Father knows”), there is some evidence (signals) that allow us to conjecture with a reasonable margin of certainty, only by remembering what you already know about wars and applying it to the present day.

Teacher Prolotheos:
I see that you have paid much attention to certain ancient existential questions about God and His relationship with human beings, especially the ones that really know Him and call themselves children, friends and even servants of God. I do encourage you to enlist these questions in our conversation, no matter how startling they may appear at first sight. So begin. Question away!

Magisterial Son, Monjoronson:
It is I, or as you call me, your Avonal Son of God, answering your concerns. One thing that many still do not realize is that I will not appear ‘in glory and power’. I will appear as a ‘male of your realm’ and in this condition during my mission to Urantia I will serve for about 1000 years. My Avonal identity will at first be known by comparatively few. The ministry of a Magisterial Son on a world such as yours is gradual and progressive. A Son of God coming to a world reveals Himself to those who believe. Even when Christ Michael returns to your world in power and glory, as He promised, many still will not believe it, but faith is never optional or unnecessary. The divine plan for your world will be fulfilled according to the will of the Father and as executed by Michael. However, it counts and depends on faith reception from the majority of its inhabitants, but not all.

Urantia and all the other inhabited spheres in the Super Universe of Orvonton receive three levels of government, care, and supervision. From Uversa, our super-universe capital comes the general supervision for all local universes by the agencies of the Ancient of Days. From the local universes comes the government of the Creator Sons, like our Christ Michael (Jesus) who most capably governs His Nebadon Universe. And finally, from the Systems is dispatched, for the inhabited worlds, a Planetary Prince, for the local government.
