The spiritual is real, and it manifests itself in degrees of purity. God’s nature being the purest of all is perceived in its infiniteness only by the Gods of the Trinity. Faith is an endowment from the Father, capable of perceiving the spiritual. It is nonetheless interpreted by mind, which when unaided by revelation can, and surely will, present many distortions. Your decision of hopefully acting on the impressions that faith has caused in you, effectively entitles you to eternal life – because eternal life was, is and always will be by means of this Fundamental Faith, that believes and longs for that which is beyond the simply material.

How does one live a life that is a revelation to the glory of the Father? It would make sense to first clarify what we mean by the expression ‘to the glory of the Father’. The essence of the Father is love and when this love is manifested by the personality of God it turns into goodness. Therefore, the glory of God is the triumph of goodness in all creation. To live for the glory of the Father is nothing but following His Will in such a way that you become an agent of His goodness. In this way, others would be able to recognize in you and through your actions, the divine goodness that inspires you and they would discover the Father through you.

You heard of a little girl who, intent at pleasing her mother, doodled with a sharp stone on the body of her car. How does the parent respond to the startling consequences of such a pure intention? Each present has been carefully selected and custom-built in Santa’s giant state-of-the-art manufacture by myriads of green-hatted merry elves who diligently refer to the good and naughty lists as criteria for their secret operation.

Unlike many of your prescription drugs, prayer has no negative side-effects. I am talking here about ‘authentic’ prayer — the one that surges from a wide-open heart, in contrast with the one recited by rote as the performance of a religious ‘duty’ advertised to earn you brownie points for good behavior. Prayer is more than asking for divine favors. Neither is it exerting undue pressure by ‘cutting deals’ with your Maker, hoping to twist His Arm and have Him see things your way.

Effective Prayer is a clear communication of your intentions between you and your Indwelling Spirit (the Presence of the Creator Father), that may include your personal guidance team and or your Divine Parents, or other beings of light. Understanding the “formula” for effective prayer is important for your spiritual growth and faith. By exercising this faith through prayer, you are developing a relationship of trust with your Indwelling Spirit; your guides and Divine Parents. Trust and belief that Spirit has the far seeing view with the highest good possible for you and those you pray for is essential in building an effective prayer that is intelligent and true to your soul’s intentions.

Indeed, man’s material mind is critical by nature, as it believes what it sees but doubts what is not part yet of its experience. The above recommendation was Jesus’ intimate farewell admonition to ‘doubting’ Thomas. Thomas did, at times, waver in his faith, as he filtered his beliefs through the sieve of his imperfect intellectual understanding and sense of discernment. However, once they passed that test, he never failed to take bold action.
